About Dr. Alex Varghese
Alex Varghese, PhD, is the scientific director at Astra Fertility Group. He has worked in clinical embryology since 1996 and has led Astra’s laboratory and reproductive-technology programs since 2015.
Dr. Varghese earned a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Calcutta with research focused on assisted reproductive technology. His career has included postdoctoral and teaching work at the American Center for Reproductive Medicine at Cleveland Clinic and service as a senior embryologist at ORIGINELLE Fertility. He has authored more than 40 publications and edited eight books on assisted reproduction.
