Reviews
Very disappointing experience with Olive. The nurses, especially those dealing with medications and prescriptions, were very rude, unprofessional, and lacked basic communication skills. They did not explain things clearly, and it was difficult to get proper information when questions were asked. There was also no clear explanation of the process or what the next steps would be. Patients were often left asking what needed to be done next, which was frustrating. As healthcare professionals, staff should be able to guide patients through the process and clearly explain what is happening, rather than expecting patients to figure it out themselves. When I requested that my prescription be transferred to another pharmacy, the billing staff member I spoke with was also very rude and lacked basic manners and professionalism. Patients deserve to be treated with respect, kindness, and clear communication, especially when dealing with healthcare concerns. I believe there should be a patient feedback and review system to help improve accountability and service quality. My experience left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with the level of customer service and care I received.
The regular lab girl who withdraw blood for pt's blood work needs more training! I have three vein spots on my right arm which all have been poked so many times at lifelabs and other facility for blood draw. Today this lab girl wants to repoke at the spot which was poked at recently and obviously not fully recovered yet, so I politely requested her pls try another spot on the side, she seems upset immediately and thrown aways the needle she got ready, and call her coworker to do this on me. Thank God her coworker is experienced and skilled and we got the blood. I appreciate the understanding and help from the second staff. If needs retaking blood work, I hope I can go to lifelabs instead of coming here. All the rest is all good! I strongly recommend Olive facility, both Surrey and Vancouver location. ❤️
Can’t say enough good things about this practice and the professionals who guided us through unexplained infertility and eventually bringing our son into the world 🩵 support staff, nurses, doctors, embryologists, and geneticists alike were all kind, compassionate, methodical, and knowledgeable. They run a tight ship and we felt full confidence in the clinic from day 1. From initial testing to treatments and interventions, to eventually IVF, we were given ample information and care to make the best decisions and allow for best possible outcomes. At no time did I ever feel unsafe, afraid, or unsure of the care I was receiving despite this fertility journey being so difficult for us. The missed miscarriage on our first transfer was devastating and was handled with utmost professionalism and care with the nurse going out of her way to ensure I knew I had options for testing the failed embryo. The second transfer was successful and we are so grateful to have our healthy little guy. Thank you so much Olive Team for your expertise and support in navigating a confusing and challenging time in our lives, we couldn’t have asked for a better outcome.
If I could give no stars, I would. I am sharing this review so others can make informed decisions before starting care here. I recently terminated my care with Olive Fertility Clinic after repeated breakdowns in communication, continuity, and patient guidance during an already vulnerable fertility journey. At no point was my full care plan clearly explained to me. I was expected to have answers, make decisions, and articulate what I wanted without being properly guided through my options. When you come to a fertility clinic, it is because you need expertise and leadership. Patients should not be expected to navigate complex medical decisions on their own. After becoming pregnant during treatment, there was no proactive follow-up from the clinic. When I later miscarried, there was again no outreach. I had to explain my miscarriage four times to four different contact points (nurses and patient coordinator) on my team, only to later learn that my file had not been updated with this critical information. I was also not informed that confirmatory bloodwork or first trimester care is normally given, so I navigated my pregnancy and loss largely through my GP and a midwife because I was not provided clear next steps. A miscarriage is not a minor administrative detail. These are life-altering moments. There appears to be a systemic issue in how patients are onboarded and supported at this clinic. A simple welcome package outlining protocols, a written overview of treatment pathways, educational resources, or more direct face time with OBs could significantly improve patient understanding and safety. Patients should not be left piecing together their own care plans. Fertility treatment is emotionally and financially significant. I do not take this review lightly and it pains me to write. I recommend that if you book here to ask direct questions about how care is coordinated, how records are updated, and what follow-up looks like during all forms of treatment. Do not assume proactive, patient-centred care without clarity. I have transferred my records to another clinic and hope to receive the guidance and accountability I originally expected.
I had a great experience with IVF at Olive Fertility. I started the process in November 2023 and was pregnant by May 2024, and I now have a healthy 1 year old boy. Dr. Tregoning and his team were amazing throughout the entire journey, professional, knowledgeable, and truly supportive during what can be a very emotional process. I always felt well cared for and informed. The Vancouver location was also a great experience overall. From start to finish, I felt supported and confident in the care I received. I’m incredibly grateful for this clinic and would highly recommend them to anyone going through IVF. Wishing everyone starting this journey all the best of luck 🤍
