About Dr. David Smithson

Dr. David Smithson is a reproductive endocrinologist and fertility specialist at Pacific Centre for Reproductive Medicine in Edmonton. He completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Queen’s University, earned his medical degree and completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Western University, and pursued fellowship training in Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Ottawa Fertility Centre. He later completed an MBA at Queen’s University in 2019.

His clinical interests include third-party reproduction and male-factor infertility. He also has an academic interest in health economics and decision modelling and has contributed to peer-reviewed research. Dr. Smithson serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Alberta and participates in national professional organizations in reproductive medicine.
