Henderson & Walton Women’s Center – Cullman

I have been seeing Dr Lassiter almost 40 years now. She is wonderful. Most of the time you get in and out efficiently. They have honed their system. I schedule everything on one trip and they are very accommodating. Everyone is nice and most have been there for years

I'm not sure what these other people are doing who are leaving bad reviews about certain things, like not being able to get in touch with anyone. I called this morning and they answered on the first ring. I was able to make an appointment really easy. I think I may have had to leave a message and an automated service contacted me. I had no problems at all. Dr. Franklin did my partial hysterectomy and has always been fantastic. She has a great bedside manner, listens, and is always polite.

My wife and I called and scheduled a 8 week appointment here and when we got there we was told we miscarried my wife was extremely sad. She was told they could do a dnc but because it was so early it wasn't needed my wife asked how muched would it cost we was told we would only have to pay something like $670 at the surgery center and even then my wife was 50/50 about getting it done because it cost so much, but whatever I tell her don't worry I can swing it so we get it done 3 weeks later we get a bill in the mail where they are charging us over $500 for the procedure again and we have talked to everyone our insurance this office and the surgical center and from what we was told is that this place charged our insurance at the same time the surgical center charged us and other than that the whole run around even from the head person in charge. I know I should have paid more attention to the 3 star review this place has but that is my mistake

I have used HW since the birth of my first child 33 years ago. I love Dr. Lassiter. However, their new phone system is absolutely horrible. Any time I call they rarely call me back or I have to stay on the line for 45 minutes to an hour during a work day. There is no excuse for this and I will probably be looking for a different provider. Surely they can do better. The one star is for the phone system. I would give Dr. Lassiter five stars.

I will preface this with the confession that I had never had a gynecological examination before my visit to this facility. My mother recommended it, as she has been a patient here for many years. Upon arrival, the atmosphere was pleasant and the front desk was very polite. The doctor I had chosen (Dr. Lassiter) and the nurse assisting (unfortunately I was nervous and did not catch her name, but she was very kind; Nurse Shawn?) were extremely polite, cheerful, and professional. The nurse was so friendly and patient, and offered to explain in more detail what was to be expected from my procedure to reduce any concerns. She went on to explain with clear, concise instructions while showing me the instruments in a step-by-step process. When it was time for the procedure a few moments later, I felt much more at ease. The examination was quick, and both the doctor and nurse repeatedly checked to ensure I was comfortable and that I was allowed to decline any procedure or have the examination stop at any time, and the process was over immediately. It was a great relief to have such kind and caring people guide me through something I had no experience with, and I really do appreciate all of the hard-working staff at this facility. I would happily recommend this branch to anybody who needs attentive care.
