I found it challenging to reach the clinic by phone, as my calls went unanswered on several occasions. After multiple attempts, I decided to explore other healthcare options that better meet my needs.

UW is the only place that will work with anyone who has a higher BMI, so they are my only option for WA. I was initially frustrated as it took me about 6 months to get in because they were full. Once I got it, I have been pretty happy with UW. I am still undergoing IVF after a couple of tries, Dr. Chung has been amazing throughout the experience. She listens when I advocate for myself, and is always open to changes that we both think I could benefit from. The Finance team has made some changes, that seem to be going better, then they were before. Still working through some insurance items, but they are not dodging my calls anymore. My other feedback is sometimes it takes a little longer than I would like to get a response from the care team, when I'm in the middle of an IVF cycle or just about to start. At the end of the day, they have responded in time and I haven't had any major issues. I wanted to share my feedback, bc there has been a lot of negative feedback lately. They are not all about profit and numbers like other clinics (PNWF, SRM), and have had more empathy which I appreciate.

Please don’t waste your time with this clinic! Very unprofessional and condescending. I just got the bill for services I never received. The provider only drew a picture of my ovaries to show me how they won’t respond to their treatments, like I’m a child and I don’t know how FSH works. I was also told certain services are “very expensive,” in other words, too expensive for me. They could have saved me time and money by reviewing my blood work beforehand. But instead they kept the appointment and charged me $150 to tell me they would not help me. They should have at least ordered new lab tests to confirm their diagnosis. So unethical!!!

The financial services department is inept to say the least. I had confirmation my insurance approved coverage for IVF, which UW was also sent the same letter. I, again, sent a statement for the procedure in question from UHC confirming the approval (said “approved” in bold green letters) plus the outline of the charges they paid for. Somehow, UW is STILL trying to charge me $16k while also getting money from my insurance. Find a hospital that has a more organized insurance department and one you can speak to via phone - I have had to speak to eight different reps via messaging and none have been helpful.

Oof. I wish I had read the reviews of this place before we chose it. Go anywhere but here, seriously. This place is nothing like the rest of the UW health system, which is generally incredible. Instead, this place is bottom of the barrel, filled with incompetence and backwards bureaucracy. I wish we could turn back but we're already in process with them. 🙁
