About James W. Akin, MD
Dr. James W. Akin is board-certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He founded Bluegrass Fertility Center in 2003 and serves as its medical director.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University of Kentucky, and completed fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Medical College of Georgia. He also serves on the voluntary faculty at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine.
