About Dr. Nickan Motamedi, BSc, MSc, MD, FRCSC (OBGYN/REI)

Nickan Motamedi, BSc, MSc, MD, FRCSC, is a reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist at TRIO Fertility. His clinical and research interests include recurrent pregnancy loss, egg and embryo freezing, preimplantation genetic testing for monogenic disease, and fertility care for patients with kidney disease.

Dr. Motamedi earned his medical degree at the University of Ottawa, completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Western University, and completed a reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at the University of Toronto. He also earned a master’s degree in academic surgery through Western University’s Surgeon Scientist Program. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a scientific reviewer for Fertility and Sterility.
