About Dr. Banafsheh Nikmehr
Banafsheh Nikmehr, MS, PhD, HCLD/TS (ABB), is a Senior Embryologist and Technical Supervisor at Carolinas Fertility Institute. She joined CFI in 2020 and works in reproductive biology, male infertility, embryology laboratory supervision, and azoospermia research. She participates in collaborative CFI and Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine research on Round Spermatid Injection for patients with azoospermia.
She earned a master’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology in 2012 and a PhD in Reproductive Biology in 2018, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship with the Male Fertility Research Group at Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine.
