About Alex Knutson, MD

Dr. Alex “AJ” Knutson is a reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellow at the University of Rochester Medical Center, training at Strong Fertility Center. He joined the fellowship in 2023 after completing an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Penn State Health.

His professional interests include evidence-based fertility care and reproductive bioethics. As part of the University of Rochester’s Advanced Certificate in Clinical Bioethics program, Dr. Knutson contributed to research on the cost-effectiveness of non-disclosure preimplantation genetic testing for Huntington disease. In 2026, he received the School of Medicine and Dentistry’s Advanced Certificate Award for Practical Excellence.
