Doctor in the ER completely dismissed my symptoms. Refused to give me basic care such as IV fluids. It wasn’t until my mother who is a nurse that works there came over that he started to semi take me seriously. I should have gone to Dayton, but since we have a hospital here that shouldn’t have to be our option. Just because I am young, does not mean that I was not having serious health issues. Glad I have someone who helped me advocate for even some care.

I had complete knee replacement of my left knee performed by Joseph Dicco on, Wednesday, March 19, 2025. This was the second knee to be replaced by Dr. Dicco, but the first at Wayne. The entire process was smooth and seamless…the pre-surgery was well organized and handled with one visit. The day of the surgery was well organized with no details left uncovered. The entire staff was a pleasure to associate with for me as the patient and my wife who was there as my support.

I was actually not thrilled about having to travel from Centerville, where I live, to Greenville for the surgery. What I learned was ...it was worth the drive! The care I received in your ambulatory services was outstanding. I felt like I was the only patient being cared for that day. All the physicians, nurses and aides provided exceptional care. I can say as a PhD nurse with 50+ yrs in healthcare I know whereof I speak. Two nurses who provided most of my pre-op and post-op care really stand out - Ginny RN and Jenny RN. I felt very confident in their professionalism and especially attention to detail in my care. Thanks to the entire staff that provided such excellent care to me.

Until last night be had never been to Wayne Hospital. My dad was transported there because it was the closest and honestly after reading the reviews I was a little nervous. After arriving they had him triaged quickly and we were allowed to go back. They were quick and attentive and super nice. They were able to put our minds at ease about a situation we were very concerned about and ultimately my dad was released a little after 3 am.

Underwent a total knee replacement 23 days ago. The surgery team went beyond my expectations in taking care of me through my surgery and additional pain relief care. The nurses were so attentive and caring. PT and OT got me prepped to come home same day and actually climb the 3 large steps to enter my home. They were a great team and skilled above and beyond. So encouraging to have this kind of wonderful care this close to home. Don’t hesitate to have your surgery at Wayne!
