Complaint and was simply called by a nurse. I do not recommend UT health reproductive services if you have other options. Notably this is on top of feeling they don’t read my chart and take my individual circumstances into account with treatment planning.

Waited for an hour and a half for blood work... and they called someone before me when I was the first one there and they still didnt call me. Like we don't have jobs or places we have to be. if it wasn't for my insurance only being excepted at places like this I wouldn't even go there.. So if your paying out of pocket save your money and go somewhere better!

Getting really frustrated because we were supposed to start our cycle last month only to be told that our Dr will be unavailable and we'll have to wait a month, and now we're being told that we have to wait ANOTHER MONTH to get started. At this point we have NO ETA on when we can get started and when we ask if we can proceed with a different provider to prevent further delays, our requests are ignored. I wish they would communicate with us instead of letting us find out "nope, have to wait" on our own or at least give us options. I feel heartbroken and discouraged right now. Also, the communication here is awful. We have to get on them constantly to get an update or find out what's happening. They also have not been transparent about costs and we still don't know how much everything will be. They did not want to send a preauth for my meds because "it would be easier" for them if I used their preferred rx vendor and paid cash.

My husband and I went to UTSA for IUIs. I can't lie, we were mostly attracted by the low price, but it turns out that you get what you pay for. First, their communication was abysmal. They always want you to message them questions or information through the online portal, which turns what could be a 5-minute phone conversation into an all day mess of back-and-forthing online. Who has time for that? Second, they have horrible procedures; for example, they don't make appointments for IUIs, so you just have to show up in the early morning and wait for someone to be available to see you. We waited FOUR hours to be seen for a 5 minute procedure. And of course, no one warned us about that or explained anything to us. Worse than this, they don't monitor you AT ALL during your intervention, so for example, when medicines didn't work for us, there was no communication! No adjustment of our protocol! Just a big, fat nothing. They don't actually assign you a doctor; whoever is hanging around is who deals with you. I saw a revolving door of doctors who weren't familiar with my case and weren't managing my care (no one was, which took me a while to figure out because it seemed so impossible and ridiculous). As a first timer in this realm, I had no idea what to ask for or when, or to whom. To say it was frustrating would be a huge understatement. The whole experience of working with them was completely disheartening and awful and made a horrible life situation that much worse. We wasted precious months dealing with them (if you're in this situation, you know that with infertility, time is of the essence) Bottom line: AVOID at all costs.

Reached out in May to be scheduled because BAMC told me they were quicker, otherwise the soonest BAMC could be me in would be February for a FET. I have to do a consult with a dr at UT before we can do a transfer, even though they have my embryos and one of their doctors over saw me at BAMC. I was scheduled a month and half out for my consult. I’m apart of a Facebook page and multiple women were posting for at least 2 weeks about one of the UT doctors having surgery and wouldn’t be available for months, I wasn’t worried because I hadn’t received a call from UT that I needed to be rescheduled. TWO DAYS prior to my appointment, I received a call that it was the doctor I was assigned to that would be out. They obviously knew for weeks and waited until 48 hours before my appointment to call. Not to mention, 1 of those days were a federal holiday so I’m sure they wouldn’t have been open anyways. The soonest appointment they could give me was a little over a month out, and I asked to placed on a waitlist for any sooner cancellations they may have. I wanted to call today and see if there was any movement but I have been on hold for 45 minutes and still going. They always mess up my billing and send me bills in the mail even when I’ve paid the amount weeks, if not months in advance. I should have just stayed with BAMC. Would not recommend. Only reason I am giving them two stars is because BAMC partners with them and I loved my experience there.
