Reviews

We were referred here from my primary and it was a completely horrible experience! Dr Thompson performed the normal fertility exams in which one of them he stated would take 5 minutes ended up being like 20! This definitely made me feel like he didn't know what he was doing or maybe he's been doing this too long!! He then kept asking the same question repeatedly, obviously not believing my answer. He immediately stated that IVF was our only option and shoved us off to another staff member to discuss the $30K option. Thankfully, this didn't discourage us and we got a second opinion that IUI successfully worked and we now have a perfect little boy!

I had bad experiences with the front desk staff in multiple occasions in the clinic/in-person and over the phone. They acted very inappropriate and rude. I believe that the front desk people should be more understanding and compassionate in a clinic setting. Some of the front desk staff are always in hurry.

The Fertility Center was absolutely wonderful to work with. They were able to see me right away and listened to and addressed my concerns when other doctors brushed me off. They were kind, compassionate, and so helpful.

I LOVE everyone at the fertility center! Dr. Thompson made it possible for my husband and I to have a healthy beautiful baby boy. We are going for baby number 2 with them and can't wait! Thank you Dr. Thompson for everything you do!!!!

Dr. Thompson and his staff are amazing! I loved it here! I drove three hours just to see them and they made my dream a reality. I had attempted seven IUI's with only 4 going to transfers in Durango. Each time I had a transfer it was painful! When I came here, he did every single test necessary to make sure I was able to reproduce successfully. Every test he surprised me by telling me everything was perfect. When I visited the Durango doc it seemed everything was not going right and my PCOS was a huge barrier. I did IVF with one transfer with Dr. Thompson and immediately became pregnant. Every single dime was well worth it. And the procedure was so comfortable. I was bracing myself because the transfers I did in Durango had been so painful I would bleed afterwards. I didn't feel a thing with that one transfer at this office. And no bleeding. Now, reading other reviews I see people complain on bedside manner. I had no issues whatsoever with bedside manner. Dr. Thompson is straight forward with you as is his staff, which I prefer. Of course he wants your spouse with you on visits because this not only involves you but it involves your spouse too and there are tons of consents he needs to sign. That would be the only issue I had when I would go to appointments by myself. Which is totally understandable. But, they never made a big deal of it because I could take the form with me, get it notorized, and take it back with me to my next appointment. Or just bring my husband with me. Another thing I read in negative reviews is that Dr. Thompson wouldn't remember who you were. When I would go up I wore my Spiderman socks and Dr. Thompson would remember who I was because of that. He services so many patients in a day that I wouldn't expect him to remember who I was. I used to work in healthcare and some of my patients would get offended if I didn't remember them. Something you have to understand is a healthcare worker sees so many people in a day it is impossible to remember someone unless they leave a memorable impression or give a reason for remembrance (Spidey socks). But Dr. Thompson always keeps good notes and if you have to remind him about some things, then remind him. No big deal. Anything infertility related is sensitive. Trust me, I know. You don't want to hear the bad news. But, I felt the care and service I got at the Fertility Center of NM was absolutely amazing. He is NM's top fertility doctor for a reason and it truly shows. I am so happy I went here. And I know I've told you guys a million times but thank you! You guys are the best at what you do and I appreciate you guys more than you know!
