Reviews

My husband and I have had an awful time being patients of Midwest Fertility; it is constantly one frustration after another. Our first issue was when I started receiving prescriptions called in for medications I hadn't been informed of. The nurses were adamant I was to take the medication although it wasn't on my treatment plan or mentioned when I asked my doctor about what medications I'd be taking. I just wanted to confirm with my doctor I was to take it and have the opportunity to ask questions. One nurse said "I've been here 20 years everyone takes this, it's only 100 bucks" and when I asked to speak with Dr Erica about it, I was told that the doctors never speak to the patients outside of the initial consultation. I ended up taking the medications and having side effects that mimicked pregnancy that I wish I would have known to expect. It truly got my hopes up. After that call, my husband called about the nurse being condescending and he wanted to make sure I wouldn't be inseminated by her. He was told only the doctors do insemination. On the day of my IUI, I was insemination by a nurse. Every single appointment I have gets mixed up. I'll have a series of 3 scheduled (and need all 3) but when I show up for the first one they cancel the other two. I was behind another woman in line and she was experiencing the same thing. When my IUIs failed, I wasn't treated with any empathy at all. For the first one, the receptionist said simply "ok, call back on the first day of your period". I got my bearings and called again, leaving a message asking questions and asking if I'll ever get to speak with my doctor again. A nurse called back and said I can speak to my doctor any time I'd like and was aghast that someone had said differently. So I scheduled to speak with my doctor, and 30 minutes before the appointment got an email saying "BEFORE THE SESSION: Payment of $158.00 is due before the Session can start: make the payment now." So I paid the $158 and spoke with her for 13 minutes. We've reached the end of our fertility journey. I just can't recommend against them enough; never in my life have I had to advocate for myself so much than at Midwest Fertility. I don't necessarily blame them for me not becoming pregnant in the end, but I do wonder if I would have been willing to try for longer had I encountered a more supportive and informative experience.

I called this clinic as a new patient to ask about fertility services, but the staff was unprofessional and dismissive. When I asked a simple question for clarification, instead of receiving guidance, the person I spoke with responded in a rude and condescending way, which made me feel disrespected. Patients should be treated with kindness and professionalism, especially when making important medical decisions and undergoing such a personal treatment. I believe I spoke with Emily on February 6 around noon, or someone from her department. This experience made me feel extremely uncomfortable and afraid to reach out again. Patient's should not be made to feel put down or disrespected like this. Very disappointed.

We worked with Dr. O’Leary and nurses Kris and Rachael and cannot recommend them enough. We are currently 19 weeks pregnant with our miracle baby girl! Although the IVF journey is tough, every single person we worked with at Midwest Fertility was so kind and compassionate. If you are struggling with infertility, there is no better team!

I highly recommend this clinic. They are incredibly nice, efficient, and respectful, especially Christina. Pay her more and sign her for the rest of her life. She was amazing. Dr Will and everyone else as well. So appreciative.

Midwest Fertility is the absolute best! They have the kindest staff who go above and beyond to help you create miracles. Dr. O'Leary and her nursing staff (Kris and Rachael) helped make a very stressful, scary process easier. I will be forever grateful for each of them.
