I had my first visit with Dr. Kornafel today, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. They took me in right away after a brief nice phone call. From the moment I walked in, I felt at ease. Dr. Kornafel was kind, attentive, and made sure I felt completely comfortable throughout the appointment. She took the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed. It’s not always easy finding a gynecologist you feel truly comfortable with, but I’m so glad I found her. Highly recommend!

Posting on behalf of my mother: In all the 40+ years of seeing doctors, I have never felt more compelled to write a review until now. Let me first say that I had been seeing Dr. Kathleen Kornafel for more years than I care to admit. I figured it was only once a year at most and did so on the orders of my primary. Dr. Kornafel is demeaning, sarcastic, rude and although she claims to be for women's rights, she is the most unsympathetic doctor that I have ever met. If you don't want your anatomy talked about in front of office workers and patients, then go somewhere else. She seems to have more bad days than good. I get that its a business but why continue with a practice if she can't stand her patrons. When I asked for my pap report, I was never called with the results or had anything mailed back. It didn't matter who was working in the office. Dr. Kornafel pretty much demanded that everyone get an ultrasound for $100. I was never given a report for the ultrasound. Dr. Kornafel bragged about how most women whined about the ultrasound being painful. It seemed to me that she enjoyed administering the ultrasound in an almost sadistic manner. She also bragged about how she tells insurance companies that ultrasounds are given because the person was too fat for a pelvic exam. Really? Isn't that fraud? When I asked for a medication that no longer requires a script, I was berated for no reason. When I asked her where I could find the medication over the counter she replied back in a snippy manner, "There's this thing called Google. Go look it up yourself." To this day, I have no idea what I said or did to warrant such abusive behavior. I have never been rude to any of my doctors. The crazy thing is, I enjoyed hearing about her daughter and her cute little dog. Dr. Kornafel spoke about reminding her medical students to always be kind to their patients. So much for kindness. Don't waste your time or money with this doctor.

To consult you have to listen to a patient as well as give advice. She is good at the advice giving, but not so much at the listening. I feel as though I wasted my time and money.

Really confused what is going on. I was referred to Dr. Kornafel by my primary care physician. When I met her, I had a great time. She was super thorough, took her time to explain the reproductive timeline and what my next steps are, and an easy going personality. The staff young lady was super friendly! My experience thereafter, would've left me to leave a 1 star to be honest, because I needed to do two blood tests. when i called and left a voicemail before, i would get a call back to answer my questions. but after my two blood tests were complete for my next step, I called either twice or once a week, left voicemails, sent email to the dr, and its going on 5 weeks and still no one ever got back to me. I'm so confused. I've never had such a delayed response from the doctors office. I consider infertility concerns a bit time sensitive and would have moved to my next doctor right away if there was some kind of hold back. So just wanted to leave this review for fellow future patients, that I guess this can possibly happen. Best wishes.

Dr. Kornafel is the reason I have my rainbow baby. She is direct and to the point. She tells you the truth and provides options based on the facts of your case. I had three loses before I went with her. She explained in detail all the possible outcomes if I were to get pregnant again or do IVF. She explained the testing and gave us her opinion on what she thought would be the best option. She never pushed for anything and let my husband and I decide what we thought was best. We decided to try again naturally, I got pregnant and she had already established a plan. Thanks to her knowledge and plan I was able to carry out my pregnancy and deliver a baby boy. If you’re looking for an honest doctor who will tell you facts and the truth (sometimes it might not be what you want to hear) she is the best. THANK YOU Dr. Kornafel, you made our baby happen!
