Very sad and frustrated with this place. My insurance approved the IVF but denied two medications that were needed to start. The billing person and nurse both agreed this was weird and said they would look in to it but no one ever got back to me. Not trying to have my dreams crushed I left a message asking to speak to dr knochenhauer to see if we can go another route and still no one got back to me. So I’m just left alone to grieve and try to accept that my chances are over.

I honestly don’t know where to begin when describing the journey my husband and I had to get pregnant. Dr. Traub and his incredible dream-team staff took what felt like an impossible road and filled it with hope. At one point, we were coming to terms with the possibility that starting a family might not be in the cards for us—physically or financially. But Dr. Traub refused to let anything stand in the way of success. What makes Island Reproductive so special is that it’s not just about medicine or money—it’s about making dreams come true. The compassion, dedication, and personalized care we received were beyond anything we could have imagined. The team builds such deep relationships with their patients that when it’s finally time to “graduate” to the next stage of pregnancy, it’s truly bittersweet. My husband and I will forever be grateful to Dr. Traub and his team for making our dream a reality. If you’re looking for a specialist who truly cares, who fights for you, and who makes you feel like family, I cannot recommend Dr. Traub and his incredible team enough. This is one of the most humble, dedicated, and compassionate places we’ve ever known.

Dr. Traub was beyond amazing! He is not only thorough as a doctor but is also both compassionate and respectful in his work! I came to Dr. Traub as someone who suffers from PCOS and suffered from infertility for 4 years. Immediately I could tell how highly experienced and educated he is in his specialty. We talked about a realistic plan of action which I appreciated a lot! His office is also filled with the most patient and nicest staff. I am so thankful that I came to island reproductive and most especially Dr. Traub because he made our dreams come true in finally becoming parents. I have been to other doctors before and nothing compares to the care I was given from Dr. Traub. When we became pregnant I was literally crying because I didn’t want to not be his patient anymore. It’s very hard to find a doctor you can really trust! As I look at my beautiful baby boy I’m reminded that he is here because of Dr. Traub and I will forever be grateful!

Doctor Knockenhaur and his staff are the best and most professional! They have made my experience with them so easy! I recommend him to anyone seeking fertility help! even though I got pregnant natural they helped me to see when I ovulate. I was going to do a iui but I end up getting pregnant wish he could be an OB!

My wife had a procedure done and she was horrified by the lack of cleanliness of the room it was done in, she wasn't given any antibiotics afterwards, and there was no following up from them. In addition, they sent blood to a lab that was out of network, which should have been covered under the surprise bill, but they failed to to attach that the blood was ordered from them. It's over 10 months, and has been a huge headache with the insurance and the lab to get it paid. We have since moved on to another IVF clinic, as this one never follows up, doesn't document things correctly, unsanitary environment for procedures, and caused a 10+ month long headache with our insurance company that still is not resolved yet. We regret ever going here.
