I saved up for several years in order to have a baby. At the age of 37, with good ovarian and uterine function, I underwent IVF at HRC. After reviewing my basal follicles, they said they could retrieve about 10 eggs. However, after the ovulation induction cycle, only three eggs were retrieved. After screening and transplantation, it ultimately failed. They charged me a one-time fee, but they cannot guarantee success. This is not just an economic blow, but more importantly, I have suffered a serious psychological trauma because I missed another year of childbearing age. They only value money and no one will care about your situation. I consulted many IVF clinics and had my body checked again. Based on my current physical condition, the result is not like this. Seeing so many failed experiences in the comment section, I feel like I had a nightmare. If I continue to do it here, I may never have a child again.

As a surrogate my first time doing an embryo transfer with successful results was at Fertility & Surgical Associates of California in a Thousand Oaks. They professionally walked us thru the entire process step by step and how everything was supposed to go. Now, for this location this was my new ips clinic and it's been no where near to the standards of my first experience. If I could, I would have my IPs change their clinic and direct them to the previous one I went to. This experience was odd. They had me show up early but we sat in the waiting room way beyond the time I was supposed to have my transfer. We thought they forgot about me. It was over crowded and felt like an assembly line (As another reviewer described perfectly). The transfer itself was weird and a bit uncomfortable. The assistant I had was not even saying anything. She just started pushing on my bladder and is awkwardly not saying anything and Dr Wilcox looks like he's falling asleep. My husband and i left not feeling too great about the experience. This location has a beautiful office setting but unprofessional. We were overall super unimpressed. I'm doing another transfer bc the one they attached failed to stay attached. I will update my review with more thorough information on the 2nd experience.

Dr. Llarena, Melody, and their team did a phenomenal job supporting me for my fertility treatment. The ease of communication and responsiveness, especially from Melody, was fabulous. It was apparent from our very first meeting that Dr. Llarena was compassionate and also really knew her stuff! After every ultrasound she sat down, took a breath, asked us what questions we have, (as if she had all the time in the world for us!), and she answered them all in detail. She is patient and kind and smart and I have already recommended that my friend go to her, and my friend loves her too! Finally, the ability to pop in quickly for lab draws was especially wonderful, and I will always have a soft spot of appreciation for the phlebotomists Abby and Hasmik, who always had a smile for me during a stressful time.

I had an incredible experience at HRC Fertility in Pasadena, I cannot recommend them highly enough! From day one I felt welcomed and supported. The atmosphere was so calming, warm and reassuring, which is so important during such a personal journey. Dr. Kolb and my nurse coordinator, Vikki, took the time to explain every step of the IVF process, addressing all my questions with patience and clarity. Their expertise was evident, and I felt confident in their care. They provided a tailored approach to my treatment plan, ensuring it aligned with my needs and goals. Throughout the process, Vikki maintained excellent communication, keeping me updated on progress and next steps, which I truly appreciated. The supportive environment, combined with the professionalism of the staff, made a potentially overwhelming experience much easier to navigate.
