Reviews
The worst experience I have ever had with a medical service (and that is saying a lot in Quebec). I went to OVO for a blood test and ultrasound in February to prepare for my upcoming fertility appointment with the MUHC in April. I arrived at my appointment in April and they had never received my tests. To top it all off, OVO does not have any way of getting in touch with them. Even when you select that you are a healthcare professional, it brings you to voicemail. So my fertility appointment that I waited months for - was for nothing. I contacted OVO and they told me I can come pick up my blood tests. I arrive and I scan the results. THEY DID NOT TEST FOR 90% of the things the doctor checked off. I have never dealt with such incompetence in my life. How do you not perform a blood test properly? Completely insanity. * 05/06/26 - As you can see OVO answered below. I had already emailed the email they provided 2 weeks ago and no one has ever responded.
I am sharing this experience to assist others in making informed decisions. I consulted with Dr. Johanne Benoît at OVO regarding oocyte cryopreservation. I was not advised that a delay of one to two years could significantly reduce the probability of success. This information was fundamental to my decision-making. Had it been disclosed, I would not have waited to proceed. I incurred costs exceeding $40,000 on the understanding that this would provide a viable future option. For years, I relied on this as a form of reassurance. When I later returned to pursue pregnancy, I was advised that the likelihood of success was extremely low. Equally concerning was the manner in which I was treated throughout my care. In my experience, both Dr. Johanne Benoît and Dr. Camille Sylvestre treated me in a disrespectful manner. During a consultation, Dr. Camille Sylvestre referred to me as “an old woman.” The way I was spoken to was so shocking that my spouse, who was present during the consultation, was deeply affected as well. These comments were inappropriate and inconsistent with the standards of professionalism expected in a medical setting. Overall, this experience raises serious concerns regarding both the adequacy of the information provided to support informed consent and the manner in which care was delivered. Patients should be provided with clear, complete information and treated with dignity and respect at all times.
To say that my experience at Ovo was disappointing would be an understatement. After payment was made, the tone shifted dramatically — I was treated dismissively and told my chances were nearly nonexistent. Deciding to have a child and building a family is one of the most meaningful decisions of a lifetime. After years of hope, I was left feeling misled and emotionally devastated.
Very bad service. The staff makes you feel like you annoy them. The person who did my ultra sounds was absolutely not delicate and make me feel like a piece of stock. My sister ha the same horrible experience with OVO. WE SWITCHED CLINIC!
My experience was amazing!! The Lady at the reception miss.Mariangela was very kind and cheerful. Now the doctor who did my ultrasound Mrs.Rosella I genuinely pray that God will bless her abundantly! She was amazing so kind so patient so caring, she made sure to look at everything to make sure baby is healthy. She explained to me everything she was doing, every steps of the way. I will definitely come back for other ultrasounds weither it’s for this baby or another one 🥺🙏🏽 This is a good place !
