I did IVF with MGH a few years ago. Here we are a few years later and my doctor left so I decided to try CCRM. I have been so impressed with the care I have received here. It’s so much more personable than going through MGH/BWH. I am so glad I made the switch.

I’m 43 and went through two cycles of IVF. CCRM have very nice and friendly environments. Most of the nurse with Blood draw and ultrasound are amazing (painless, quick and care), only appointments on weekend sometimes you may encounter fresh nurse or doctor obviously feel less comfortable. Communication with billing office is the worst, but it will work, in the end. Dr Zimon’s team is great, especially nurse and Ryan are smart, efficient and easy to communicate. The first cycle is not very positive with 5 eggs retrieved from ~8-10 follicles (Dr. Zimon have great skills), with my right ovary can reach by fibrosis, only two embryo go through to the end and failed with genetic testing. The second time Dr. Zimon adjust the medicine and supplements, we got better results with ~15 follicles, around 6-8 with very similar size, such an exciting results! But things turned before the egg retrieval day, I got a notice that another Doctor will perform my surgery, we begin to worry, as a lab scientist myself, I know how important that experience and skill can impact the success rate, especially egg retroviral, better egg numbers will increase the chance of final success. I begin to read comments online, there’s similar situation a patient change a surgery doctor in CCRM only got 2 eggs from 10 follicles because new doctor did’t familiar with her case and both egg failed to the end. Unfortunately, worries come to the truth to me after the second surgery, I only got two eggs this time and both egg failed. I have to admit, there are many steps of this process we can’t control. I have two friends also use the Boston CCRM service, either use donors egg or donors sperm none of them successful get genetically tested right embryo as we know, indicating the susses rate is not as high as people expected. It’s only 10-20mins surgery for a doctor, but for patients that years of efforts, time, money cost (It’s not cheap!), life style change, mental stress, lots of injections, repeating of blood draw ultrasound check, I hope every follicles observed should be treat seriously. It’s sad for us decide to quit the process, while I’m reflecting the process I think the biggest mistake we made is not stick on Dr. Zimon, we should insist the best doctor perform the surgery to avoid regretting, unacceptable failures to an acceptable one. I hope our failure can provide useful information to other people in the same CCRM journey.

While the doctors and nurses are great, the billing department is terrible. Not only do they not answer messages through the portal, but they also don’t return phone calls. It’s very disappointing and makes an already stressful situation even more stressful. Be sure to stay on them and reach out to genetic labs, insurances to see the status of things as they often are looking for the billing team to provide them with information. It is amazing to me how many times labs and my insurance have reached out to the billing clinic and not received what is needed. It’s sad because moving forward, I wouldn’t choose CCRM and it’s not because of the doctors or nurses and strictly due to the billing team being unprofessionally. It I was rating the billing team solely, they would receive 0 stars.

The staff at CCRM fertility of Boston are very professional. The front desk staff always greet with warmth upon arrival. Dr Zimon nurse Ashlee is very incredibly supportive, always there to offer encouragement and guidance when I speak with her.

I had IVF at another clinic (FCNE). It was a terrible experience. I had 4 embryos. I transferred the first one and it didn't work. I transferred the second one and I had a chemical pregnancy. At no point did they recommend a biopsy of the embryos or suggest any investigation to find out why it didn't work. I decided to change clinics and chose CCRM. From the beginning, Dr. Alisson Zimon explained to me the importance of the biopsy (PGT test). She also ordered several genetic tests for me and my husband, a uterine biopsy, a thrombophilia test. She did everything She could to help me have a better chance of success! I had another IVF cycle with biopsy and had my first transfer of a beautiful embryo that divided. Today, I'm expecting twins! After 6 years of infertility. I can only thank the clinic and Dr. Zimon for all the support! I would like to thank my nurse Laura, who always attended to me promptly and explained everything to me very calmly and patient, considering that English is not my first language, she always speaks slowly and help me understand everything. The clinic is beautiful, well located with easy parking. The nursing staff is super friendly. I've always been very well looked after! I definitely recommend CCRM!
