Reviews

An assistant of my primary care doctor scheduled an appointment. My insurance had switched, so I uploaded my new insurance the day before the appointment, as requested. When I arrived, they made no mention of not accepting my insurance, just charged me a co-pay. The primary care doctor didn't know why we were meeting. Neither did I. Because they didn't accept my insurance, I was charged over $500 for a 10 minute visit with a confused doctor. This included a $250 charge to use the building. Upon receiving the bill, I explained the situation to the billing department. They were unwilling to change the bill, and said it was my fault for not knowing they didn't accept my insurance. I do not recommend this location or Carle in general.

I wish Carle had invested more in phlebotomy. Carle's labs often have inexperienced phlebotomists who struggle to draw blood even when they find the veins. They cause a lot of pain and leave large bruises for many days. There were at least two times in my case, after trying for 4 times, the inexperienced phlebotomist asked a more experienced one for help, who got blood drawn within 5 seconds. I have seen other patients experiencing similar situations at Carle, and I had no issue with labs at Christie Clinic. A big hospital like Carle needs to do better.

I didn't catch her name - but on 1/31 at 3:18 pm, an absolute angel of an employee spent 15 minutes of her time talking on the phone with me about my health concern and shared her similar story with me. She was the kindest, most compassionate employee I have ever encountered during my entire scary health experience. She even offered advice on what she did in her case, and I am so appreciative of the time and effort she spent talking to me. I just wanted to share my experience in hopes that it encourages other people to seek out care for their own scary health experiences. In particular, it is clear that Carle on Windsor has some amazing employees who really do care.

If I could give this establishment zero stars, I would! This place is really a joke. I went in after an unsuccessful visit with a primary care physician and called to ask if they can do ultrasound and x-ray. The representative said they do. Went in for an appointment and they did absolutely nothing but a urinalysis. The staff were nice but this place should be shut down. I was told to follow up with my primary care. I left in pain and an unanswered diagnosis. Never again will EVER return or recommend this place. I truly question the competence of the staff. 0/100

The staff were personable but that’s it. The Dr seemed compassionate and said she’d call the next day, worst case 2 days with the results and 3 days later no call. I finally call them and they said they would call back and lo and behold the place is closed for the day and STILL no call back! The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because they were nice and pretended to care👎🏼👎🏼
