I would give half a star if possible. I have been seeing OBGYN for almost a year and a half now to try to get a surgery for a severe stage 3 or 4 bladder prolapse. They have canceled the surgery 3 or 4 times it’s been so many times I m not sure weather it has been 3-4 now but the fact it was more than 2 is ridiculous. They consider it to be an elective surgery every though I have been having 3 UTI’s from it every freaking month and having problems with bowel movement and emptying the bladder completely with bad pain and bleeding.I understand why they canceled because the other specialist I was seeing didn’t feel comfortable clearing me. Fast forward after I got the approval of the other specialist then I was told that they didn’t have any surgery openings with my doctor until 6 months from when I called. Seriously!!! Shouldn’t the patient you have canceled 3-4 times be a priority not have to jump back in the regular que??? The situation is only getting worse and not only am I susposed to wait 6 months or go to a different doctor that hasn’t been treating me it would literally change the process all together. I was supposed to have 3 Gyno specialist in the room for my surgery since I was so high risk and it was supposed to be a overnight stay to make sure my pain was controlled now if I did choose to go off base not only would I have to pay more but the surgery would have to be planned all over again and I might not even get the extra specialist I need in the Or or the overnight to control my pain and any possible breathing issues that arise. Additionally, the 6 month OR slot may be a bit waiting list for even longer not a slot that is fully mine. I started out feeling ok with the surgery and trusting my doctor to the point of feeling as if they just want to pawn me off to another dr. It’s a 9 hour procedure with 2 in 1!! Great way to make a patient feel as if they aren’t safe with you with no caring whatsoever. The only person who seems to care is one patient advocate otherwise the other advocates seem as if they really are there just to pacify the patients without any real caring for the patient. The other staff isn’t very good at bed side manner either. Maybe we need to have a entire class on how to treat your patient and act like you care!

I was having a heart attack. My Arteries are not in the usual place. (2% of people are like this)They literally figured this out extremely fast and saved my life. So glad I was taken there instead of another emergency room. BAMC is by far the very best trauma center in Texas.

My husband spent over 2 months at BAMC after his motorcycle accident. During his stay he had multiple doctors and PT staff helping him. Hands down Dr. Kessler his trauma orthopedic doctor was amazing!!! The entire staff at this hospital was amazing! Dining, multiple choices daily for him and myself. Thank you to BAMC for saving my husband's leg and life.

My husband was transported here by another hospital while he was unconscious. He has 0 military affiliation and should not have been sent here when there was another trauma center near by. We received an astronomical bill 15 months later. 2 weeks later, we were told it was sent to the Department of Treasury with nearly 50% more in administrative fees, late penalties, and interest. How do you not notify your patients of bills then BAM! send it for collections with an unbelievable amount of money. We have now been fighting them to remove all the fees, penalties, and administrative fees. How do you hire so many incompetent individuals that NOONE correctly put in or even VERIFIED the patient's address? Then have the audacity to give them a surprise bill that is the equivalent to a mortgage...

I am writing to express my concerns regarding a recent visit to your emergency room. I went in seeking help for a skin condition, as I was experiencing a blackened, oozing area on my skin, which led me to believe I might have an infection. While I appreciate the doctor’s time, I found their response to be somewhat condescending. They rubbed the area with alcohol and claimed that it "didn’t look infected," despite then prescribing antibiotics. This left me feeling confused and concerned, as it contradicted the treatment they recommended. When I expressed my confusion, I felt dismissed and not taken seriously, which added to my distress. Additionally, I had an extremely negative experience with one of the staff members at the front desk. The elderly woman with gray hair was dismissive, rude, and unprofessional when I politely asked if someone could further examine my skin. Her response was extremely unpleasant, and I felt disrespected and belittled during my interaction with her. For clarification, I later sought care at another ER, where it was confirmed that I had a skin infection, and the proper treatment was provided. I understand that things can get busy, but I believe that all patients deserve respectful, empathetic care. My experience, unfortunately, fell far short of those expectations. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration, as it’s important that both the medical and administrative staff create a supportive and professional environment for everyone seeking care.
