As a survivor of sexual trauma, I specifically asked if I could have a female examiner/provider for my appointment at Omega Fertility Center and was told this accommodation could not be provided. The experience left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and unsupported. I believe fertility clinics should offer trauma-informed care and make reasonable efforts to accommodate survivors of sexual assault whenever possible. Many patients seeking reproductive care have complex medical and trauma histories, and feeling safe during intimate examinations matters. If you are a woman with a history of sexual trauma or PTSD, I would strongly encourage you to ask detailed questions about accommodations before booking here, or consider seeking a clinic that prioritizes trauma-informed practices and patient comfort.

I have been a patient at Omega since 2018. Throughout my journey I have met with every doctor, nurse, ultrasound tech, and even some people in the lab. I have been incredibly pleased with the treatment options, interpersonal interactions with everyone, and wait times I have had at the clinic. The staff have rejoiced with me our successful pregnancies, have sympathized with our pregnancy losses, and are always there with support, understanding, and most importantly, care. I have never felt rushed during appointments with any of the doctors. To the contrary, I have always been asked if I have any questions before the appointments wrap up. The doctor that manages my treatment is Dr. Hollett-Caines. She has an impeccable memory of my medical history and always comes to appointments prepared. All matters discussed in my appointments are followed up on as well. She is very kind, explains things thoroughly, and approaches treatment plans with medical evidence. An additional factor that has stood out as outstanding to me is that as a person with a disability, I have never been treated differently than other patients. That cannot be said for many medical facilities I have attended. The doctors speak directly to me, have never discussed my blindness as part of my treatment, and in general have made the focus be on me as an individual going through fertility issues, and that is all. I feel respected, validated, understood, supported, and like an individual at this clinic.

Dr.Hollicaine was my dr for few years . I just want to say about her that she should care about her patients not about money or why they move to other dr. I had funded IVF with Omega , But had miscarriage after 6 weeks . I phoned to Barb to book a follow-up appointment with her but she said nothing available for few months. Usually dr. office call to book an appointment after treatment failure or miscarriage . This was the reason why i moved to other dr. Then i filled online form to get dr.Abu who did my IVF not for dr. Jackie & barb phoned & informed that dr. Jackie refused to take me back without asked what is the reason behind it. Just to say these private clinic not worry about patient health.

Terrible fertility clinic. We regret doing an IVF cycle at this clinic, it was a complete waste of our money, time and energy. To start the Dr (Dr V) was arrogant and unprofessional, he came to our consultation unprepared, didn't spent time reading our medical history and test results, but he rushed us into an IVF cycle that we paid out of our pocket. The result was a total failure. I am not giving a bad review because of the result of the IVF, but for how bad the doctor managed our case. After our IFV cycle they didn't even set up an appointment with us to discuss the results or next steps. I had to call several times the secretary to ask for that appointment and she even asked why I needed to see the doctor, so unprofessional. I do not recommend this clinic to anyone that is needing support to have a baby. After this horrible experience we moved to another clinic in Waterloo, and I can now appreciate how IVF cycle should be done and how we patients should be treated. Don't waste your money, time and energy going to Omega.

My family Dr referred me to "Ginecologyst Dr Cameron" for my menopause treatment ( I was so excited about it!) @ this center but my appointment was @ Victoria hospital, and I have to say TERRIBLE service in both locations, parking lot full, receptionists and practitioners full lack of compassion, humanity, kindness! You are only a 30 mn appointment for a weight, height and blood pressure check!! Dr Cameron came into the room asked me a few question and bc unfortunatly I had a hard time earlier ( it was not the best day to be there) just told me: "go back to see your family Dr (lucky you have one) to prescribe you antidepressant pills, and you do not need to see me any more" and left !!! Very sad and upset to have wasted my time there, I seriously doubt about Dr Cameron's professionalism, she did not care about my well-being!!!
