Reviews

I'm 38, and currently have a beautiful 6 month old daughter because of Dr. Gupta. We did the 1 retrieval and 2 transfers package, and got 5 embryos, our 2nd transfer took. We also had the opportunity to participate in a clinical study (super easy) that helped us out financially with medicine costs. Staff was always friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate.

Do not go here, my PCP recommended them so I called to setup an appt. However at the time I was divorced, they had an policy where I had to provide my divorce decree and wait 6months post divorce. Which is against the law. When I push back providing my divorce decree because I had sensitive information that was going to be uploaded to my patient portal they rescinded the request but they still mandated that I wait 6 months after my divorce. Mind you at this time I'm 34 and I knew that my fertility window was shortening. I also this is the first time that I'm dipping into fertility care and I knew I was going to be using donor sperm so I needed to have a fertility center to facilitate the insemination process I never realized I should be shopping around to make sure that I was getting quality care so I stuck through with URMC. It was over a year later where I finally met with the doctor to start with the process of potentially inseminating during that first year they made me go through so many tests that they told me were mandatory and if I didn't do these tests and affiliated appointments that they could no longer serve me, and a few times stated that I would have significant difficulty becoming pregnant I potentially had a brain tumor and I had limited eggs. After 6 months of going through the dosey Doe with u of r I changed gears and made an appointment with unity fertility services night and day folks. Unity fertility had no qualms with me being divorced they ran basic tests I completed an ultrasound within a month of doing my intake they inform me that I had no concerns of my egg banking. And this is where I learned that fertility centers (some) want to uphold their grading system based on success rates of insemination and because of that they get recognition that they do, that hence why some centers might go above and beyond when it's not really warranted for the patient. The switching gears of unity within literally 2 months of my intake I was going through the process of insemination and at this point I am pregnant I do worry though the year that I took to wait for strong to start the process has eaten up my time since now I'm 35. STay Away from UR. I highly recommend Dr. Jamil Mroueh and the Unity fertility team.

I was a patient of this clinic for three years with no success unfortunately. We did three rounds of ivf and a few transfers, nothing worked… At our last consultation the option was clear - adoption or trying to experiment with my eggs and donor sperm which was absolutely not an option for our family. That was the moment that we knew we had to switch clinics as soon as possible… We are so glad we did! With another place I got pregnant right on the first round and we have a healthy almost two year old toddler boy and we are expecting another sibling baby now. My protocol was so different from what Strong fertility had to offer. I just want to let people know that if you feel that this clinic is not the right fit and you only staying another year because of your hope, explore new options and don’t get stuck with always feeling down and that infertility is your fault. This experience with Strong fertility is still raw and I remember feeling so hopeless then. I wanted to share our story here which shows that we have to advocate for ourselves and believe in positive things and if you have an infertility diagnosis it doesn’t mean that you have to give up on your dreams!

Doctors and atmosphere are nice. However, I wish communication would have been better. The process and options were not fully explained and so I just thought, based on how it was explained that we only came in for monitoring if we started a treatment cycle (with medicine). I could have been going to get monitored for the last 6 months. Disappointed in the communication because people new to this process don't know all of that information going into it.

Thanks to Dr Vitek and all of the amazing staff at Strong Fertility our dreams of starting a family became a reality! They are LGBT friendly, welcoming, and caring. They changed my protocol till I had a successful transfer. They communicate well, labs get done quickly, and they try to meet your desired timeline. The nurses felt like family after constant visits for about 6 months. We always felt supported and cared for by everyone there. I strongly recommend this fertility center. I’m so glad we chose them to help us start our family.
